Olufela Joda – Architect-in-Training

A self-taught graphic designer and visual artist, Olufela came to Arizona in 2018 to study and two years later received his master’s degree in architecture from Arizona State University. His passion for design and problem-solving is an inspiration for all at Drewett Works.

Born in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria, Olufela recalls watching his “auntie” use AutoCAD, and because he likes to draw, she inspired him to do so professionally. After earning a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Covenant University in Nigeria, he had no idea he would find himself in Arizona, but the ASU architecture program changed all of that when he came to study.

As a side gig, he founded Fela X Joda in 2015, designing logos and brand identities for multiple firms across the retail, fashion, media and food industries. On top of that, he has designed, illustrated and directed the creative for both song and album covers.
