Eric Lin – Intern
In May of 2023, Eric graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University with a B.A. in architecture—an accomplishment achieved after only three years of study.
Born in Ann Arbor, Mich., Eric moved to Arizona at a young age and grew up in Phoenix, where he attended Brophy College Prep before heading to the East Coast for college.
While at Princeton, he conducted his senior thesis research on the archaeology of Frank Gehry’s Lewis residence, for which he received the Frederick B. White Thesis Prize. In addition, he won the Joseph S. Shanley Prize, a top academic honor that funded a traveling fellowship to Rome.
In 2022, Eric had the opportunity to intern at BeaMalevich in Barcelona, Spain, allowing him the opportunity to experience life abroad and work on his Spanish skills.

Was there a particular moment when you knew architecture was your destiny? When I was four years old, I made a crayon drawing of a skyscraper called the “Rainbow Building.” I’ve wanted to become an architect ever since.
Favorite architect? Frank Gehry
What was your most memorable job? I worked at BeaMalevich in Spain, where I served as a marketing intern and head of architecture projects. The company creates decorative design items and architectural models for sale online and in museum gift shops. I thought working in a marketing role would be a cool opportunity to combine some of my passions (architecture, design, writing).
Free time activities? Long-distance running, lifting, drawing, graphic design. I also write, produce and record original pop/R&B songs, which I’ve uploaded to Spotify.
What is your favorite memory? Traveling to Italy for a month with my friend from architecture school. We visited Rome, Florence and Venice and attended the Biennale Architettura, which is probably the coolest design exhibition I’ve been to.
Proudest moment? Finishing my senior thesis
Dream destination? Taiwan. My family is Taiwanese, but I haven’t had the chance to visit.
Favorite Netflix binge? Black Mirror and How I Met Your Mother. I’ve also been binging Suits recently.
Who is on your current playlist? The Weeknd, Drake, SZA, Brakence
Beach or mountains? Beach, for sure. Chilling on the beach is my favorite feeling in the world.
