French Provincial architecture is seldom found in Arizona, yet Le Château d’Arcadia feels at home on its storied lot—its classical forms and cultivated presence resonating with a neighborhood once defined by verdant citrus groves and a rich local history.

Long and slender in form, Le Château d’Arcadia is located on an acre of a subdivided 16-acre parcel known as Nordon Manor in the quaint Phoenix community of Arcadia. The original Nordon Manor residence, built in the style of an 18th-century Pennsylvania farmhouse in 1971 by an East Coast family, was considered an architectural treasure.

With impressive views of Camelback Mountain, Le Château d’Arcadia sits on a long rectangular lot. Its design embodies the French Provincial aesthetic, characterized by classic symmetry, reminiscent of its European roots. Limestone accents, a slate roof, and barreled dormer windows define the estate’s character. The dormers lend a heightened vertical presence while introducing abundant natural light, reinforcing the home’s refined, Old World sensibility.

A gracious entry courtyard anchors the design, where one wing of the house accommodates a junior primary suite, office and speakeasy-style bar. Opposite, a second wing contains two children’s en-suite bedrooms, a dedicated kids’ lounge and an attached guest casita. From here, the home’s axial flow progresses from front to back, culminating in the primary suite and a wellness wing that includes a fitness studio, sauna, steam room and massage space.

Built with a walkout basement with stairs that lead up to the backyard pool patio, Le Château d’Arcadia features a below-ground game and entertainment space with a bowling alley, billards table, full bar and a mid-level guest suite. A covered patio, pickleball court and multiple fire features and sitting areas facilitate easy entertaining, while boxwood hedges and orangery-style planters add French flair to the landscape.
