Judges for the 2015 Gold Nugget Awards have named Drewett Works as a Grand Award winner in its annual competition, which honors architectural design and planning excellence and draws entries from throughout the United States and internationally. Drewett Works earned its Merit honors for the “Levine Residence” which was honored for Custom Home 8,001 to 12,000 sq. ft.

GNA GRAND IconChosen from the elite pool of Merit Award winners, Grand Awards were announced on June 25, 2015 as a feature highlight of PCBC®, the nation’s largest regional conference and trade show for the real estate development field.

Located in Scottsdale, AZ, “Levine Residence” not only captures the vistas of the surrounding desert, but also provides viewing spaces for the fantastic art collection housed within its walls. The desert modern has primary views from the southwest. Protecting the interior spaces from the southwest sun while making the primary views available was the greatest challenge of the design. The views were very calculated and carefully managed. Every room needed to not only capture the vistas of the surrounding desert, but also provide viewing spaces for the art collection to be housed within its walls.

“Mark, you built a watch,” said CP Drewett said to Manship Builders team member Mark Laidlaw from the stage as he accepted the award. Referring to the precision construction by Manship Builders, Drewett continued, thanking the entire collaborative team that made the Levine Residence an award-winning example of modern architecture. Collaborative team members were Manship Builders, Carefree, AZ; David Michael Miller of David Michael Miller and Associates, Scottsdale, AZ; and Greey | Pickett, Scottsdale, AZ. Project photography was provided by Dino Tonn, Scottsdale, AZ.
