Nouveau Naples // Drewett Works

Contemporary in design, with a flat roof and distinctive eight-sided architecture, Nouveau Naples is a residence born of the owner’s desire to entertain while supporting his commitment to healthy living.

Set on a 1.9-acre, pie-shaped lot in Naples, FL, Nouveau Naples breaks from tradition in a location defined by metal, pitched, and hip roofs. While the site’s unusual shape allowed for creative design, the absence of views ultimately shaped the home’s architectural response.

Modern and asymmetrical, with moments of symmetry, Nouveau Naples is constructed primarily of limestone and features hemlock ceilings that flow from inside to out. Architect C.P. Drewett’s eight-sided design centers on a courtyard that brings the backyard views into most rooms, while the home’s outer ring houses the entry, garage, theater and guest suite.

Anchored by a long, horizontal pool, the backyard features a “hammock,” or bridge, spanning one end of the water. Integrated with a rain-curtain water feature, the structure shades an outdoor game area while serving as a striking focal point. Above, a secluded lounge overlooks the backyard, where outdoor rooms create intimate extensions of the interior spaces.

Two standout spaces—the ones that mattered most to the homeowner—include a dedicated wellness area with a full gym that opens to the pool through pocketing glass doors, as well as a locker-room-style bathroom, sauna, cold plunge and juice bar. The other is an outdoor dining and barbecue area featuring an Argentinian-style meat grill that is spacious enough for large gatherings yet intimate enough for smaller ones.

Designed with an open-concept layout, Nouveau Naples includes a primary suite, junior suite and two guest bedrooms, in addition to a media/theater room. A generous autocourt connects to dual garages that can accommodate up to six cars and a separate garage devoted to golf and race-car simulators.
