Desert Retreat at Silverleaf

Home/Collection/Desert Retreat at Silverleaf

The genesis of design for this desert retreat was the informal dining area in which the clients, along with family and friends, would gather.

AsSeenInPHGiconLocated in north Scottsdale’s prestigious Silverleaf, this ranch hacienda offers 6,500 square feet of gracious hospitality for the family and friends of Bob and Christie Austin. Focused around the informal dining area, the home’s living spaces, both indoor and outdoor, offer warmth of materials and proximity for expansion of the casual dining space that the Austins envisioned for hosting gatherings to include their two grown children, parents, and many friends. The kitchen, adjacent to the informal dining, serves as the functioning heart of the home and is open to the great room, informal dining room, and office, and is mere steps away from the outdoor patio lounge and poolside guest casita. Additionally, the main house master suite enjoys spectacular vistas of the adjacent McDowell mountains and distant Phoenix city lights.

The clients, who desired ample guest quarters for their visiting adult children, decided on a detached guest casita featuring two bedroom suites, a living area, and a small kitchen. The guest casita’s spectacular bedroom mountain views are surpassed only by the living area views of distant mountains seen beyond the spectacular pool and outdoor living spaces.

Hi – beautiful work! I’m building my home and am looking for a simple wine room door. I love what you did here, are you able to share the make/model of the door, or where you purchased?
    Thanks!
    Matt

Hi Matt. Thanks for your inquiry. The door was a custom design as are all of our doors. Good luck with your home and thanks for visiting our website!

    Hello,
I am an architectural professional who is always learning. Your Modern Arizonian Western design of the Silverleaf Desert Retreat looks like a place anyone would like to inhabit. The dark wood ceiling designs and the wood trim are especially eye-catching. They seem to frame the picture of architecture. As a hobby of mine, I collect pictures of architectural features and rebuild them for my own library. I adopt some features of those designs and use them to enhance my builds. Being that architectural design is my hobby as well as my work, which I really enjoy; creating these projects adds to my creativity and experience as an architectural designer.
